Slenfeh صلنفة

Slenfeh (صلنفة)

Perhaps Syria’s most popular mountain resort, Slenfeh (صلنفة) is full of beautiful modern homes and the climate is refreshingly cool in the summer. While mostly deserted in the off-season, the town comes to life in the summer when it is often full of Syrians and Gulf Arabs who own summer homes here. There are no specific sites in or around Slenfeh (صلنفة), but it is a nice place to wander, especially in the height of summer.

Getting There: In the summer, incredibly frequent microbuses travel from Lattakia (اللاذقية) to Slenfeh (صلنفة), though departures are slightly less frequent in the off-season. The trip takes about 45 minutes. Given the proximity to Qalaat Salah al-Din (قلعة صلاح الدين), it makes sense to combine a visit to Slenfeh (صلنفة) with the castle, via the town of al-Hafeh (الحفة).
